- Wine or liquor bottles
- Pure beeswax
- Wick
- Fragrance warming oil or Essential oil
- old glass pitcher or seamless pouring container
- Glue gun
Cutting the bottles was a little intimidating at first. Make sure to use the safety glasses and gloves when handling glass! The directions on the glass cutter was simple and i would practice on different glasses before jumping right in to this craft. Once you get the hang of it, it's very simple.
Once the bottle is cut wipe dry and attach the wick using a drop of hot glue.
Melt the beeswax down using a crock pot, microwave or stove method. I personally use the stove method, filling a pot with water and placing the glass pitcher into the pot with water. I then poured the beeswax and stir continuously until it melted down. I then added my fragrance.
Once completely melted I poured the wax into the cut glass bottle and allowed to harden for 24 hours. For the larger candles I do recommend using more than one wick to create a even burn.
